1.MARUGAME GENICHIRO-INOKUMA MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART
A contemporary art museum located just in front of JR Marugame station. Its regular exhibition features  works  by  Gen’ichiro  Inokuma,  who  spent  his  early  years  in  Marugame.  Special exhibitions featuring contemporary art are held on a regular basis. The sophisticated spaces of the café and museum shops are also worth a visit.

2.ISAMU NOGUCHI GARDEN MUSEUM JAPAN
The museum exhibits 150 works and the atelier of Isamu Noguchi, a unique artist who has won international acclaim for his wide variety of work including monuments, environmental designs for gardens  and  parks,  interior  designs  including  furniture  and  lighting,  Its  opening  hours  are restricted to certain days and admission is with guided tour only, with advance booking.

3.SHIKOKU MURA GALLERY
The Shikoku Mura Gallery, designed and built by internationally renowned architect Tadao Ando in 2002, is situated in the foothills of Mt. Yashima. The regular exhibits include modern European paintings by Pierre Auguste Renoir, Pierre Bonnard, and Pablo Picasso. Special 
exhibitions are also held in spring and autumn featuring arts and “mingu,” or traditional everyday craft objects. Looking down from the balcony of the gallery, you can see the water garden and a rose garden, with Sanuki Plain in the background.

4.HIGASHIYAMA KAII SETOUCHI ART MUSEUM
Providing a perfect view of the Seto Ohashi Bridges, this museum features over 280 pieces of work by the great Japanese-style painter Higashiyama Kaii. Kaii’s grandfather was born in Hitsuishi, so  the  family  has a close  connection  to  Kagawa.  This  municipally  owned  museum  was therefore opened in the Saya area, on the coastline across from Hitsuishi. You can get a good view of the Inland Sea from the café.

5.THE KAGAWA MUSEUM
The Kagawa Museum is a comprehensive museum incorporating history and art. The exhibition space  includes  a  room  dedicated  to  a  history  of  Kagawa  Prefecture  and  works  by  artists associated  with  the  region,  such  as  Isamu  Noguchi  and  Inokuma  Genichiro.  A  library  and  a relaxing museum café are situated on the ground floor.

6.TAKAMATSU CITY MUSEUM OF ART
This is a museum in the middle of the city, currently being refurbished and scheduled to re-open in April 2016. The collections, comprising over 1500 pieces, are centered around three themes: “post-WWII  Japanese  Modern  Art”  (Western  paintings/sculptures), “World  arts  since  the 20thcentury” (block prints), and “Art of Kagawa” (lacquerware/metal works). The content of both the regular and special exhibitions changes five times a year.
